I’m just so f***ing lazy

My parents would hate to hear this one.
They grew up in these “hard” circumstances, they fought their way up to where they are, they worked their ass off for what they have, they made sure that their kids, regardless of whether they turn out like me or not, have an assured future and want for nothing..

And me ? I’m a 20-something guy, who wants to find a way of making money while not working at all. I’ve not gone through half the stuff they have, and I probably never will either. And yet, a few days ago, I was thinking how ideal a lifestyle would be if I just had to sit there and do nothing i.e. do everything that I want to do all the time: read, eat, sleep, talk, muck around on the computer, movies, music - you get the idea.

Marriage means having kids, taking care of someone else, being responsible; is there a way of getting past that? Yep, who wants to marry ?

Somewhere along the way that drive that causes humans to excel has been lost within me, I think.

See, I’m not scared of admitting it, I’m bloody lazy, and if possible I’d do nothing. I should not lack for anything either on the way, so it means you pay me for being this way.

I need counselling or something.

While I know that this is not the place for my spam, this one was so typical.
Now Prince Daura of the Inland Bank Nigeria plc wants my bank account details for dealing with the late Mr. Cochran’s estate. The sum is atypically low - only about 10.5 million dollars.. and I get 30% for “helping”.
Anyone ever actually reply to these mails ? And the least they can do is show some imagination. Even if I do ever read my spam, it should be something that is so amazingly freaky that I laugh..

Which reminds me.. this may be spam, but worse is the crap that friends send - send this to 5 people in 5 minutes, and you’ll be lucky. Don’t and everything possible will happen to you other than death.

My personal favourite.. (more…)

The interesting thing about Intellectual Property rights, other than the fact that its a debate that’s beaten to death every few months, is that one cannot really take a stand.

According to this, all the gigantic technology firms out there have pirated their technology from ‘the little guys’. Ironically, some of them go after “illegal” file-sharers for trying to pirate the products they make with their “pirated” technology.

The question is, what is copyrighted and what isn’t ? (more…)

Why is it..

..that this new release seems crappily slow ?
Hope its not screwing up the loading times, and shit.
Goes to show that not all progress is in the forward direction.

Another thought, how irritating is the different category names ?
Also, I’ve definitely increased the google hits for the word ‘technically’.

My contribution to the net: I increased the hit usage for the word ‘technically’
Now that is a fitting epitaph.

It doesn’t look like I’ve got too much sleep…

I know that grousing about what we read on BE/BC/BZ is common.. but after a mere 40 minutes, I couldn’t stop myself. I want people to take offense by choice, so read on now that I’ve warned you..
